URL Inspection – Google Search Console

What is URL Inspection?

URL Inspection is a feature in Google Search Console that allows you to analyze the indexing status and on-page details of a specific URL on your website. It provides insights into how Googlebot sees and processes a particular page, helping you diagnose and fix issues that might affect its visibility in search results.

Key Features of URL Inspection

  1. Indexing Status: Check if the URL is indexed by Google and see the date it was last crawled.
  2. Crawl Information: View details about how Googlebot accessed and processed the page.
  3. Mobile Usability: Examine how the URL performs on mobile devices.
  4. Canonical Status: See if the URL is correctly set up with canonical tags and identify any potential issues.
  5. Coverage Issues: Detect problems that may be preventing the URL from being indexed or shown in search results.
  6. Page Speed: Analyze the page’s loading speed and other performance metrics.
  7. Fetch as Google: Request Google to fetch and index the URL.
