In TallyPrime, the “Stock Group Summary” is a report that provides a consolidated view of your inventory items grouped by their respective stock groups. This report helps you assess the overall stock position of different categories or groups of items in your inventory.
To generate a Stock Group Summary report in TallyPrime, follow these steps:
- Open TallyPrime: Launch TallyPrime and open the company for which you want to generate the Stock Group Summary report.
- Navigate to Reports: From the Gateway of Tally, select “Display More Reports” from the main menu.
- Access Stock Group Summary: Under “Display More Reports,” you will find a list of reports. Look for “Stock Group Summary” and select it.
- Configure Report Parameters:
- After selecting “Stock Group Summary,” TallyPrime will prompt you to configure the report based on your requirements.
- You can filter the report by different criteria such as stock group, stock category, location (godown), and more. Choose the options that are relevant to your needs.
- View and Print Report:
- Once you’ve configured the report parameters, press

or click on “Show” to generate the Stock Group Summary report. - The report will display information about each stock group, including the opening balance, inward movement (purchases), outward movement (sales), and closing balance.
