Review Tab in MS Word

This tab allows you to make any changes to your document due to spelling and grammar issues. It also holds the track changes feature which provides people with the ability to make notes and changes to a document of another person.
Here are the options available in the “Review” tab:

1. Proofing:

Allows users to check the spelling and grammar of the document. This option provides options to customize the proofing settings.

2. Thesaurus: Allows users to look up synonyms for selected words within the document.

5. Word Count: Allows users to count the number of words, characters, and pages in the document.

2. Language: 

The “Language” group in the “Review” tab in MS Word provides options to set the language for the document. Allows users to set the language for the document. This option provides options to customize the language settings.
Here are the options available in the “Language” group:
1. Language: Allows users to set the language for the document. This option is useful for multilingual documents and provides options to set the proofing language, the formatting language, and the display language.
2. Translate: Allows users to translate the selected text into a different language using Microsoft’s translation service.

3. Comments: 

Allows users to insert, edit, and delete comments within the document. This option provides options to customize the appearance of the comments.
1. New Comment: Allows users to insert a new comment at the current cursor position. This option is useful for adding feedback or suggestions for a specific section of the document.
2. Delete: Allows users to delete the selected comment(s) from the document. This option is useful for removing outdated or irrelevant comments.
3. Previous/Next: Allows users to navigate between comments within the document. This option is useful for reviewing and addressing all comments within the document.
4. Show Markup: Allows users to show or hide comments and other markup in the document. This option is useful for reviewing the document with or without comments and other markup.

4. Tracking: 

Allows users to track changes made to the document. This option provides options to customize the tracking settings.
The “Tracking” group in the “Review” tab in MS Word provides options to track and manage changes made to the document.
Here are the options available in the “Tracking” group:
1. Track Changes: Allows users to turn on or off the “Track Changes” feature, which marks all changes made to the document with a specific color and displays them in a balloon or inline in the document.
2. Reviewing Pane: Allows users to view and manage tracked changes and comments in a separate reviewing pane. This option is useful for working with a large number of changes or for displaying changes in a more organized manner.
3. Show Markup: Allows users to show or hide tracked changes, comments, and other markup in the document. This option is useful for reviewing the document with or without markup.
4. Simple Markup: Allows users to view the document with a simplified version of the markup, which shows only the final version of the document with all changes accepted or rejected.
5. Accept/Reject: Allows users to accept or reject the selected tracked change(s) in the document. This option is useful for making final edits to the document.

5. Compare: 

Allows users to compare two versions of the document. This option provides options to customize the comparison settings.

6. Protect: 

Allows users to protect the document from unwanted changes. This option provides options to customize the protection settings.
These options provide a lot of flexibility to users in reviewing, editing, and protecting their documents. The “Review” tab is frequently used by users who need to collaborate on a document with others, who need to ensure the accuracy and consistency of a document, or who need to protect the document from unauthorized changes.
