Quick Access Toolbar is a customizable toolbar that allows users to access frequently used commands with just a single click, By default, this toolbar contains a few commonly used commands such as Save, Undo, and Redo.
Customizing the Quick Access Toolbar
1. Adding Commands:
To add commands to the Quick Access Toolbar, follow these simple steps:
- Click on the dropdown arrow at the end of the Quick Access Toolbar.
- Select the desired command from the list or click on “More Commands” to explore additional options.
- Click “OK” to add the selected command to the Quick Access Toolbar.
2. Removing Commands:
To remove commands from the Quick Access Toolbar:
- Click the dropdown arrow at the end of the Quick Access Toolbar.
- Right-click on the command you wish to remove.
- Select “Remove from Quick Access Toolbar.”
3. Customizing the Placement:
Users can choose to position the Quick Access Toolbar above or below the ribbon. To change the placement:
- Click the dropdown arrow at the end of the Quick Access Toolbar.
- Select “Show Quick Access Toolbar Below the Ribbon” or “Show Quick Access Toolbar Above the Ribbon” based on your preference.
4. Exporting and Importing Customizations:
Excel allows users to export their customized Quick Access Toolbar settings for use on other computers or to share with colleagues. To export or import customizations:
- Click the dropdown arrow at the end of the Quick Access Toolbar.
- Select “Customize Quick Access Toolbar.”
- Choose “Import/Export” and follow the on-screen instructions.
