Design Tab in MS Word

The “Design” tab in MS Word is a ribbon menu located at the top of the program window that provides various options for formatting and designing a document. Here are some of the common options that can be found in the “Design” tab:

1. Themes: Provides options to change the document’s theme and color scheme

2. Page Color : Allows users to add a watermark, page borders, or page colors to the document.

1. Click on the “Design” tab in the ribbon menu.
2. Click on the “Page Color” option in the “Page Background” group.
3. Choose a color from the list of predefined colors or select “More Colors” to choose a custom color.
4. If choosing a custom color, use the color picker to select the desired color or enter the RGB or HSL values for the color.
5. Click “OK” to apply the color to the document.
3. Page Border : The “Page Borders” option in the “Design” tab in MS Word allows users to add borders to the pages of their documents. Here are the steps to add page borders using this option:
1. Click on the “Design” tab in the ribbon menu.
2. Click on the “Page Borders” option in the “Page Background” group.
3. In the “Borders and Shading” dialog box, select the “Page Border” tab.

5. Select the border style, color, and width that you want to use.

4. Watermark : The “Watermark” option in the “Design” tab in MS Word allows users to add a watermark to the background of their documents. Here are the steps to add a watermark using this option:
1. Click on the “Design” tab in the ribbon menu.
2. Click on the “Watermark” option in the “Page Background” group.
3. Select a watermark from the list of predefined watermarks or click on “Custom Watermark” to create a custom watermark.
4. If creating a custom watermark, select the “Picture Watermark” option to upload an image or select the “Text Watermark” option to enter text.
5. Choose the transparency, scale, and orientation of the watermark.
6. Click “OK” to apply the watermark to the document.
